Special Handling / Exception Processing

The Donor Relationship (DR) Center is a new addition to DMP. In our continued evaluation to improve our services we found that handling donor relations was taking a great deal of time for our customer service team. We identified that we needed to have a team of individuals that concentrated solely on this area of the cage process. The DR Center concentrates solely on the “high touch” services/correspondence and donor exceptions that are paramount in building donor relationships. The DR Center performs functions that include comment mail processing, reject check/credit card processing, memorials, handwritten prayer cards, handwritten “thank-you’s”, corporate matches and high donor communication. All Planned Giving and Sustainer Programs for our clients will now be managed by our DR Center

DMP created our Donor Relationship Center because many times we see donor communication and relationship building being neglected in our area of the business. Many service bureaus do not want to deal with the harder and less profitable aspect of direct mail such as comments, inquiries and address changes. Donor correspondence plays a different role by underscoring the continuing relationship between the charity and the donor and establishing a long-term relationship. It is correspondence with a friend who is genuinely interested in finding ways to assist the charity– a true partner. In many ways it is paramount to the continued health of the organization
